Designer

Responsible for the direction of the annual trend- and technical collection FurVision. The collection is a mix of technical samples, accessories and finished garments. Parts of the collection is created inhouse, parts are created in collaboration with external manufacturers such as tanneries, furriers, designers and textile manufacturers. The collection travels 12 cities worldwide and are introduced to B2B partners ranging from leading top brands and commercial fashion houses to independent designers, manufacturers and students.

This season we successfully turned the focal point of the collection from solitary top brands to a broader and more commercial focus, twisting the luxury look to also meet street / young designer / relevant production demand.

 

Tasks included:

Establishing storylines in the collection, including colours, prints, fabric and choice of relevant external collaborators. 

Plan and structure workload, coordinate and execute meetings within the team.

Establish accessible collections overviews for all team.

Collaborate and communicate with external manufacturers and designers.

Implementing QR code system to clarify technical specifications on each sample

Optimize communication with international market reps and meet their requirements in regards of the collection as a working tool.

Silk textiles handprinted in local studio & boutique on Bornholm, a part of World Craft Region. Primary responsibilities was new designs, pattern making, cutting, production supplement and general sales in both Nyker Studio and Svaneke Boutique.

Made to order fur & leather goods. Own capsule collections in wovens and jersey produced in EU.

Various projects, primarily focusing on developing mood, sketches and samples for trend collections and create general inspirational material for the fur industry. Development of technical fur samples for couture and select fashion brands. Responsible for mood, trend collections and capsule and promotional collections aiming to raise sales in specific fur types or in select market areas such as menswear, asian manufacturers or trim manufacturers.

Independant ready to wear label based on a fictional 1930ies film star muse. Garments were primarily created in natural materials such as wool, silk & cotton. Select capsule collections created in mink and fur, sponsored by Saga Furs.

Young, upcoming American design company, a part of Sean John Clothing Inc.

Research, mood and product development of high end ready to wear including knitwear and shoes.

Responsible for communication between design studio and in house production facility.

Own womens wear label in Könrøg.

Handmade fashion pieces sold in Könrøg boutique. Working with silk screen prints, draped and tailored pieces. Smaller series of ready to wear garments.
